The E-Waste Challenge
More than 180 million electronic devices sit unused in UK homes. The UK is the second largest per-capita contributor to e-waste in Europe, generating 1.6 million tonnes every year.
The PCIFIC Approach
We built PCIFIC because traditional platforms make resale harder than it should be, percentage fees that eat margin, listings buried in noise, buyers left guessing at condition. We took the opposite approach:
- Zero seller fees: keep what you earn
- Buyer protection as standard: verified before funds release
- AI-assisted listing: minutes, not evenings
- One platform, consumer to commercial: individual sellers and refurbishers, same tooling
Making Circular Tech the Default
A resold laptop avoids roughly 300 kg of CO₂. Material Focus estimates the UK could save 2.8 million tonnes of emissions if dormant devices came back into circulation. That's the ambition, make circular tech the default, not the effort.
